Senior Staff Accountant
We are hiring a Senior Staff Accountant in San Antonio to support high-level functions in the Accounting/Finance Department. This role handles complex general ledger work, financial reporting, budgeting, and provides guidance to accounting staff. Ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong GAAP background. This is a full-time, onsite role with a Monday–Friday schedule of 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and flexibility such as 8–5 or 9–6 may be approved by management. Pay ranges from $23.24 to $34.87 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll-related reconciliations, accruals, and vendor payments.

• Support monthly and quarterly financial closings and regulatory filings.

• Review financial reports, investigate discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.

• Provide training and technical support to other team members.

• Assist with audits, budgeting, and special financial projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; financial institution experience preferred.

• Advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Must be bondable and able to work cross-functionally.
