We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant with strong analytical skills to join our Accounting team. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
Perform monthly account reconciliations including bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts
Assist with accounts payable and receivable process.
Record and file Sales & Use Tax
Review project cost and work with project teams to ensure accuracy
Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and adjusting entries
Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making
Assist with audit preparations and provide supporting documentation as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems (SAGE experience preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization
