Position Overview
HydroEdge Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a high-impact role within a fast-moving organization where you will help build and strengthen the financial infrastructure that supports our water transfer and fluid management operations across Pennsylvania.

The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise and hands-on experience with ERP and financial systems implementation. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with senior leadership, operations, and IT to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable systems as the company continues to grow.


Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Reporting
•Manage the full-cycle month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
•Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
•Produce financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
•Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation tracking, and capital expenditure reporting
•Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction reconciliation
•Assist with external audit preparation, providing schedules, supporting documentation, and variance analysis
Systems Integration & Implementation
•Lead or actively support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of ERP and accounting systems
•Serve as a key finance stakeholder in systems projects, coordinating with IT, operations, and external consultants
•Design and document chart of accounts, reporting structures, and workflows to support business scalability
•Manage data migration activities including validation, reconciliation, and sign-off on converted balances
•Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in alignment with new systems
•Train and support end-users on financial systems and process changes post-implementation
•Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across accounting functions
Financial Planning & Analysis Support
•Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing variance analysis
•Prepare financial reporting packages for the CFO and senior leadership on a monthly and quarterly basis
•Assist in development of KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting as the organization scales
•Provide analytical support for operational decisions, capital investments, and cost management initiatives
Qualifications
Required
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
•5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
•Demonstrated experience in ERP or financial systems implementation (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar)
•Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting standards
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
•Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Preferred
•CPA certification or active CPA candidate
•Experience in a growth-stage, owner-operated, or private equity-backed company
•Background in oil & gas, environmental services, water infrastructure, or industrial services
•Familiarity with job costing, project accounting, or operational accounting in field-based industries
•Experience supporting a CFO or senior finance leader in a hands-on capacity
Work Environment
This position is based at our Canonsburg, PA corporate office and is primarily in-person. Hybrid flexibility is available following an initial onboarding period at the discretion of management. Occasional overnight business travel may be required. In addition, the ability to maintain concertation and accuracy in a busy work environment is crucial.
