About this role:
We are looking for a talented Senior Financial Analyst – R2R to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will take ownership of financial reporting, variance analysis, and process optimization. You’ll work closely with multiple teams across our offices, ensuring reporting accuracy, identifying financial trends, and delivering insights that support data-driven strategic decision-making.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform in-depth balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Analyze key financial accounts, including payroll, accruals, leasing, and fixed assets.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial trends and performance.
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools to improve data visualization and decision-making.
Process Improvement & Automation:
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial reporting and R2R processes.
- Support automation projects by leveraging data-handling and coding skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and global finance policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance:
- Partner with finance, payroll, and tax teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting.
- Assist in statutory and non-statutory financial statement preparation.
- Work closely with auditors, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Provide financial insights to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.
What will you bring to the table?
- Full proficiency in English and German
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) or actively pursuing qualification.
- +7 years of experience in financial reporting, R2R accounting, or financial analysis.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in GAAP/IFRS.
- Experience in payroll-related accounting, including payroll reconciliations and salary journal entries.
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience in identifying financial trends and process efficiencies.
- Proven ability to self-learn and develop data-handling and coding skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
