Join our team and play a key role in supporting the modernization of facilities required for the future production of the River Class Destroyer Program. Working closely with the Infrastructure Project Team, you will lead procurement and contracting activities for complex engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Canada's largest shipbuilding and infrastructure modernization programs while driving strategic procurement and contracting initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing, procurement, and contracting strategies for major infrastructure projects.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier sourcing, qualification, and competitive RFX processes.
- Evaluate proposals, support contract negotiations, and prepare award recommendations.
- Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including supplier performance, risk management, and contract administration.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure delivery, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement, contracting, and procure-to-pay policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Contract Management.
Experience managing complex contracts in construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
Professional designation such as SCMP, MCIPS, or ISM is considered an asset.
Strong negotiation, risk management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
