This is an opportunity to join a stable, privately owned organization where you'll gain broad exposure to development accounting while working alongside an experienced team.Your New RoleAs the Project Accountant, you'll play an integral role in supporting a portfolio of development projects from acquisition through completion.Working closely with the Finance, Development, Construction, and Sales teams, you'll be responsible for preparing project loan draws, monitoring project cash flows, maintaining project budgets, and assisting with forecasting and quarterly reporting. You'll also support investor reporting, joint venture accounting, project reconciliations, and year-end close while ensuring compliance with lender requirements and internal controls.This position offers excellent exposure to the full development lifecycle and will see you become a trusted business partner to operational teams, helping provide the financial information needed to drive project decisions. You'll also have the opportunity to identify process improvements and contribute to the continued evolution of the company's project accounting function.What Sets You ApartYou bring 2–5 years of experience in project or construction accounting, ideally within real estate development, construction, or a related industry. You're working toward your CPA designation (or have already obtained it) and possess strong Excel, analytical, and organizational skills.You're comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience with project financing, construction draws, budgeting, forecasting, joint venture accounting, or job cost reporting would all be considered strong assets.Most importantly, you're proactive, detail-oriented, and naturally curious.
