Senior Procurement Buyer- Louisville, KY
Atmus/Koch is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Buyer. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining our cost competitiveness in the market. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Materials—to enhance efficiency and drive business success. This role is 100% on-site in Louisville, KY. (Formally Koch Filter)
Responsibilities
- Ideate and execute a robust cost savings pipeline on purchased material .
- Creation of and implementation of category based sourcing strategies.
- RFQ for NPI, redesigns, and procurement projects.
- Gather specifications for RFx processes, internally and from suppliers.
- Input raw material and buy/resell pricing into ERP item cost and purchase agreements for new parts and savings projects.
- Maintain and clean up obsolete purchase agreements quarterly.
- Identify and execute tailspend reduction and trade working capital improvement projects.
- Ensure purchase agreement updates reflect changing prices as needed, following savings projects, economic updates, and new business.
- Assist with supplier outreach communications and trade compliance.
- Support due diligence information collection for regulatory certifications (RoHS, REACH, HTS, PFAS).
- Conduct PPV analysis and track Non-Rank 1 purchases.
- Assist in preparing procurement fact-packs for internal and external reporting.
Qualifications
Education
- College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-6 years of work experience in supply chain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure procurement tasks are completed efficiently.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure required goods, materials, equipment, and services arrive on time, at cost, with good quality.
- Familiarity with vendor management and procurement best practices.
- Prior experience with material cost take out (MCTO) strategies (reverse auctions, negotiation, make vs. buy) to achieve YoY cost reduction goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven implementation of Global Commodity Strategies.
- Familiarity with risk management best practices to ensure supply continuity.
- Proven negotiation skills in working capital improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in driving cross-functional change.
- Efficient project management experience with complex, modular programs through implementation, steady state, and obsolescence.
Base salary range: $ 92,725.60 - $ 115,907.00
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
