ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a growing technology company with a growing presence across Canada and the United States. This is a high-ownership role for a payroll professional who thrives independently and takes pride in running a tight, compliant operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own full-cycle payroll for a multi-jurisdictional, salaried workforce across Canada and the U.S.
- Administer Canadian and U.S. benefits programs, process sales commissions, and prepare payroll approval and variance reports.
- Ensure payroll compliance across CRA, IRS, and applicable provincial/state regulations, maintaining audit-ready records.
- Lead year-end close including T4, W-2, and tax filings; prepare month-end journal entries and support internal and external audits.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions; PCP required, CPM is an asset.
- Experience with a modern HRIS/payroll platform; solid knowledge of CRA, IRS, and applicable provincial/state legislation.
- High attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and the ability to operate independently as the payroll subject matter expert.
