As a Senior Manager, U.S. Payroll here at Solstice, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to our U.S. based employees. You will play a key role in leading payroll-related projects and initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our payroll operations. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and direction to the U.S. payroll team, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, implement best practices, and drive process improvements in payroll management. You will also have responsibility for U.S. Time & Attendance processes, supported by ADP technology.
In this role, you will impact Solstice by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, owning process optimization, and maintaining compliance with payroll-related laws and regulations.
You will report directly to our Director, Global Payroll and you’ll work out of our Morris Plains, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end payroll processing, for ~3,000 U.S. employees including hourly and salaried employees.
- Lead payroll governance, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and benefits to employees.
- Manage relationships with U.S. payroll vendors, ensuring accountability for timely, accurate processing and adherence to U.S. specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and implement best practices in payroll management
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll operations
- Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, ensuring compliance with payroll related laws and regulations
- Investigate payroll data discrepancies, propose corrective actions, and drive timely resolution of critical issues
- Lead U.S. payroll related projects and initiatives
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of relevant payroll experience including salaried and hourly employee payroll processing experience.
- Proven experience as a U.S. Payroll Leader or in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processes, laws, and regulations
- Experience with payroll software and systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive process enhancements
- Strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
WE VALUE
- Experience with ADP payroll systems, specifically Lyric & Workforce Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification
PAY RANGE
The annual base salary range for this position is $152,855 - $190,480. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
