REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Procurement – New Categoriesin Winston-Salem

This position is responsible for supporting Global Procurement with the execution in R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company of the global Category 'Sourcing to Contract' strategy for Vapor.

Your key responsibilities will include:

•  Participate in the definition of the Global Category and Sourcing strategies for Vapor.
• Provide inputs to Global New Categories team on U.S. Market-specific requirements, such as regulatory, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) driven factors.
• Support Global Vapor and Sourcing Managers in the execution of sourcing and category plans in line with global standards and policies.
• Support Global Vapor Sourcing Managers in specific vapor contract negotiations to deliver robust terms and conditions that manages service delivery and commercial risk that represent value for money.
• Support global supplier management when required.
• Support Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers in specific savings and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, in coordination with the relevant local and global business functions.
• Support Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers in the definition and execution of Global and local Business Continuity Plans and proactive risk management.
• Participate in Focus for Growth (F4G) projects related to vapor and support the delivery of Vapor Productivity targets through NPI-led project management.
• Support R&D team in the submissions process to FDA (Premarket Tobacco Applications - PMTAs) to enable New Product Introduction. Support Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers, as well as local Finance and Supply Chain teams, in the annual budgeting process (CoPlan) and on monthly Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Participate in negotiations with Vapor suppliers, in coordination with the Global Procurement team, and assist in the decision-making process for the resolution of problems and issues.
• Support the implementation of any changes in Procurement processes and ways of working related to Vapor.
• Support Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers in the implementation of programs to ensure compliance with Company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, Company Safety Rules, ESG glidepath, and regulatory requirements relevant to Vapor.
• Responsible for negotiations and Supplier Relationship management for unique suppliers

What are we looking for?

•  Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field.
• 2 years of experience as a Procurement Professional, Supply Chain Manager, Industrial Production Manager, or a related Industrial Engineering role.
• The 2 years of experience must include experience with:
• sourcing and supplier management;
• stakeholder management;
• project management including managing projects to improve performance and deliver service;
• cross-functional teams;
• solving complex supply chain and procurement issues;
• eProcurement tools including Coupa, SAP, and iCertis;
• digital and numerical analysis;
• contract management, including complex contracts with multi-country agreements, and contractual terms to mitigate legal risk;
• U.S. Legislative and Regulatory requirements including Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations specific to the Tobacco Industry; financial evaluation and accounting including budgeting, cost management, and risk assessment;
• total costs models and cost drivers;
• processes, timelines, and constraints for the delivery of new products;
• enterprise risk management and business continuity planning;
• SAP modules.
• Must travel 5% domestically and 5% internationally for supplier visits including audits, negotiations, project supervision, and work meetings, as well as meetings with the Global Procurement Team.
• The position is headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but eligible for remote work from anywhere in the United States.
