Position Summary The Senior Manager – Procurement is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement initiatives supporting GLOVIS America's Freight Forwarding operations. This role drives cost optimization, service excellence, and supplier performance across domestic transportation and international freight forwarding networks. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in logistics procurement, transportation sourcing, and supplier relationship management while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support operational goals and long-term business growth. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field 8–12 years of direct experience in freight forwarding, domestic transportation procurement, logistics, supply chain, or related functions Experience leading procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management initiatives Strong knowledge of transportation markets, logistics services, and vendor management practices Proven leadership experience managing procurement teams and supplier relationships
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree 10–15 years of experience in freight forwarding, transportation procurement, contract logistics, or integrated supply chain environments Experience supporting complex domestic and international transportation networks

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership
Develop and execute procurement strategies for transportation, freight forwarding, and logistics services Analyze market trends, freight rates, capacity conditions, and industry developments to identify sourcing opportunities Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality and operational performance Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability improvement efforts
Supplier & Contract Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard transportation carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers Lead RFQ, RFP, and transportation bidding processes Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and contractual terms to maximize value and minimize risk Manage supplier contracts, renewals, compliance, and performance reviews
Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement
Establish supplier KPIs and performance scorecards Conduct regular business reviews and performance evaluations Monitor service quality, transit times, cost performance, and customer satisfaction metrics Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives with supplier partners
Cross-Functional Partnership & Operational Support
Collaborate with logistics, operations, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to support business objectives Provide sourcing expertise and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders Support issue resolution related to transportation capacity, service disruptions, claims, and escalations Drive alignment between procurement strategy and operational requirements
Risk Management & Team Leadership
Identify transportation and supply chain risks and develop contingency sourcing strategies Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
