Senior Manager, Procurement & Contract Accounting at a glance….
The Senior Manager, Procurement & Contract Accounting will oversee the accounting for the complete contract lifecycle in the North America Zone (NAZ), including preliminary review of draft agreements, Controllership approvals, and ongoing close monitoring activities subsequent to agreement execution. This individual will have a central role in synthesizing information and "connecting the dots" between disparate sources of information to drive the appropriate accounting conclusions across North America Controllership.
What’s on the menu?
- Perform technical accounting review of all contracts that require North America Controllership approval under Company policy
- Oversee all month-end close activities related to NA Procurement contracts including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and ad hoc reporting
- Research and apply accounting guidance and exercise sound judgment in determining the appropriate accounting for vendor rebates, penalties, true-ups, contingencies, and other accruals
- Prepare and review summaries of negotiated commercial terms and accounting conclusions for presentation to Controllership leaders and CFOs
- Serve as point of contact to Controllership and BU stakeholders for US GAAP recognition and financial policy questions arising from vendor contracts in North America
- Monitor and communicate KHC financial policy findings and root causes to procurement leadership
- Act as NA Controllership relationship owner with NA Procurement, Global Procurement Compliance, MAC (Management Action Committee) Facilitators, and NA Procurement Finance
- Manage requests and communication with internal and external auditors related to vendor contracts and relevant SOX controls
- Develop and facilitate formal training sessions with audiences of up to ~250 cross-functional participants
- Periodically review and provide feedback on company-wide financial policies
- Supervise two direct reports and three indirect reports

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
- A minimum 7 years of relevant management experience, in accounting with mix of general ledger, technical accounting, and audit expertise preferred
- Exceptional written communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics for Leadership, Controllership and non-accountant cross-functional partners
- Unwavering sense of professional skepticism
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Proactively seeks opportunities to continuously improve
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly
- Familiarity with procurement process and contracts a plus

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$120,800.00 - $151,000.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
