Job SummaryThe Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting will support the Chief Financial Officer in the design, development, implementation and oversight of financial policies and procedures and their consistent application across all JNA Management Group entities. This covers all JTEKT North America locations with total estimated annual revenue of approximately $1.7 billion. The role is also expected to leverage technology—ERP, consolidation and analytics tools—to continuously improve the efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of corporate accounting processes.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all financial transactions and reports are completed according to IFRS and corporate policy.Support the Consolidations team in providing consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to JTEKT Japan and relevant support.Prepare external financial statements including footnotes for external audit review.•     Assist in the preparation of corporate budgets and forecasts.•     Review and analyze actual corporate results against plan and forecast.Build automated plan-vs-actual and management reporting using BI tools and standardized data models, reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets.•     Provide technical support as required for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures including duediligence, valuation, impairment testing, general ledger mapping, successful integration and/ortransition services execution.Lead the systems dimension of M&A integration, including chart-of-accounts harmonization, data migration and ERP/consolidation-system integration.•     Advise global accounting staff on the proper handling of non-routine accounting transactions.•     Develop strategy for implementing any new accounting pronouncements, disclosure requirementsor accounting treatment for unusual transactions in accordance with IFRS.•     Support quarterly reviews, annual audit and tax return preparation.Champion close automation—account reconciliation, journal-entry workflow and close-checklist tools to shorten the close cycle and strengthen controls.•     Manage intercompany loans, miscellaneous intercompany billings and funds transfers between subsidiaries.•     Manage and provide ongoing training and development of accounting personnel.Build the team’s digital capability through training in automation, analytics and AI-enabled accounting tools, in addition to technical accounting development.•     Perform ad hoc financial analysis in support of business decision making as needed.Personal QualitiesSkill in analyzing and evaluating accounting and internal control methods and financial reports•     Superb attention to detail and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment•     Strong initiative, leadership and management skills with ability to manage and motivate a diverseprofessional team•     Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands•     Strategic thinker, strong organization and presentation skills•     Transparent communicator and team player; ability to influence across multiple levels and multiplefunctional teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA licenseMinimum 7 years of experience in progressive accounting roles with at least 3 years of management experienceStrong technical accounting skills; working knowledge of current technical guidelines and proven ability to research and implement accounting guidanceDemonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilityKnowledge of federal, state and local laws, codes and regulationsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExpert skills with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query) requiredData analytics skills—SQL/Power Query and a BI tool (Power BI or Tableau)—to query, combine and analyze data across multiple systemsMulti-entity ERP experience (SAP or Oracle preferred)Experience with financial consolidation/EPM platforms (e.g., Oracle FCCS, OneStream, Hyperion HFM, SAP BPC)Experience implementing or operating close automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, FloQast) preferredUnderstanding of JSOX and IT general controls (ITGC) as they apply to automated accounting processesAbility to query and organize from multiple sources and platformsWorking ConditionsA fast paced, highly visible role in a typical office environment.
