Role
As Senior Manager (lead) Group Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping ASM’s financial reporting and accounting landscape in a dynamic, high-growth semiconductor environment. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior finance leadership, driving high-quality IFRS application across complex transactions, with a particular focus on technical accounting matters, close cooperation with the auditor (group and local audits), group consolidation, and M&A. This role is positioned as a key successor pipeline position, with the expectation to evolve into a Director role within a 1–3 year horizon.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Accounting & IFRS Leadership:
- Lead the interpretation and application of IFRS across complex and non-routine transactions
- Provide clear accounting positions and papers for senior stakeholders and auditors
- Drive continuous improvement on Accounting Policies (periodic revision)
- Drive implementation of new and amended IFRS standards across the group
- Proactively identifying accounting implications of strategic initiatives
- Deliver training across the organization
M&A and Strategic Transactions:
- Support due diligence (executed by 3rd party specialists) from an accounting/finance perspective
- Act as finance lead on accounting aspects of M&A transactions
- Support the purchase price allocation (executed by 3rd party specialists) including translation to internal / external reporting
- Partner with M&A team, Legal, Investor Relations, other relevant internal stakeholders and external advisors
Group Consolidation & External Reporting:
- Support the group consolidation process
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant group external reporting (i.e., press releases, interim report & financial statements)
- Drive consistency across reporting entities
Statutory reporting:
- Coordinate statutory reporting across Group Accounting, local teams, SSC, and external advisors/auditors
- Oversee quality and timeliness of deliverables from internal teams and service providers
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes, templates, and documentation
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on statutory reporting requirements
Audit & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as key contact for external auditors, build the bridge between external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Support the group audit process
- Build relationships with regional finance teams
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive improvements in reporting and consolidation processes
- Support finance transformation initiatives
Profile & Qualifications
- 8–10 years in Big 4 and/or multinational environment
- Experience with IFRS, M&A, consolidation
- Strong and proven background in accounting and external reporting
- Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance
- RA/CPA/ACCA

Organizational Context
Reports to Director, Group Accounting & Internal Control, dotted line to the Corporate Director, Group Controller. Works closely with Group Control, Group Consolidation, Internal Control, Share Service Center, Business Controllers, and external auditors. Occasional international travel required.
