POSITION OVERVIEW
This role plays a critical part within Accounting and Finance, balancing detailed financial analysis with a broader business perspective. The Senior FP&A Analyst will support the FP&A Manager and Senior FP&A Manager in identifying and implementing process improvements across FP&A, including the Company’s continued transition to Workday Adaptive Planning. Working closely with Accounting, Procurement, and cross-functional business partners, this role will help drive efficiency and effectiveness in the budget control process while delivering clear, insightful analysis and reporting to support decision-making across the organization. The role will also contribute to strong communication and effective interdepartmental relationships that enable collaboration and alignment.This position will also support the development of FP&A Analysts by reinforcing Formula One Group processes, contributing to training efforts as needed, and partnering with LVGP management to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
FP&A- Support the development and implementation of annual budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with Formula One Group timelines and policies.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of forecasting processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
- Create and manage financial tools to facilitate accurate forecasting of revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
- Provide regular variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance to senior management, highlighting key drivers.
- Assist in month-end close and reporting activities, including identifying and communicating required accruals.
- Support the development of monthly financial reviews, forecasts, and reporting models, driving continuous improvement and effectively communicating outputs to Finance and Operations partners.
- Build effective business partnerships across departments, manage competing priorities, and provide analytical support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to understand and validate financial assumptions.
- Solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, and drive improvements.
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
- Identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations.
- Develop financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Participate in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required, providing analytical support and guidance to achieve desired outcomes.
- Create ad-hoc analysis to support key business decisions as required.
- Support onboarding, knowledge-sharing, and development activities for new and existing team members, and provide day-to-day mentorship as needed.
- Assist in establishing and reinforcing the processes required by Formula One Group throughout the annual FP&A cycle, including supporting training where needed.
- Communicate data in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner both verbally and in writing.
- Clearly communicate complex financial information and issues to non-Finance stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
