Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Tulsa, OK
Reports To: CFO / VP of Financial Planning & Systems

Position Summary

The Senior FP&A / Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and enabling growth through insightful analysis. This position blends financial planning and reporting, financial systems development, product margin optimization, and M&A transaction support. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across departments to deliver clear insights that shape decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

- Help lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, variance analysis, and KPIs, and assist with preparation of materials for the board of directors
- Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to evaluate various strategic & operational initiatives

Financial Systems & Reporting

- Partner with IT and Finance leadership to optimize and implement new ERP, BI, and other IT platforms.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate insights.
- Enhance data integrity and governance across financial and operational systems.
- Partner with sales and operational leadership to enhance reporting on sales performance, progress on growth initiatives (e.g., cross-selling, new product lines), profitability by product and division, inventory levels & product availability, and to develop other strategic & operational reports

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

- Support evaluation of acquisition targets with financial due diligence, valuation, and synergy modeling.
- Build acquisition models to analyze deal scenarios and return on investment.
- Assist in integration planning, financial onboarding, and post-close performance tracking.
- Collaborate with legal, accounting, and operational teams during transaction execution.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
- Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; BI/CPM tool experience (e.g., Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, NetSuite) highly valued.
- Proven background in financial systems implementation and process automation.
- Experience with M&A due diligence and integration preferred.
- Knowledge of distribution, manufacturing, or energy industries desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Self-starter with strong business acumen, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
