Senior Financial/Management Accountant

- Manage the preparation in the Client’s payroll process;
- Manage the Grant Administration process and any miscellaneous income streams;
- Ensure that Grant Income/Expenditure is correctly reflected in monthly management accounts;
- Report / Analyse on the performance of selected business segments
- Support/mentor the AP/AR Supervisor and AP Officers;
- Manage the Client’s expenses process;
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and other financial analysis/projections;
- Ensure robust internal controls are maintained within areas of responsibility;
- Ensure high-quality and up-to-date procedure documents are maintained for areas of responsibility.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register keeping it up-to-date, accurate and complete.
- Manage timely and accurate completion of monthly Bank Reconciliations;
- Prepare/Approve the monthly cross charge journals;
- Maintain a list of leases and ensure all rental obligations are accurate and processed on time;
- Provide ‘Admin. Support’ for the grants administration system
- Assist with any systems development or implementation within area of responsibility;
- Assist with the various audits and reviews that take place throughout each year;
- Performs Bi-annual Fixed Asset verification;
- Ensures Insurance policies are sufficient and accurate;
- A recognised accounting qualification, with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience;
- Good experience on the preparation of annual financial statements;
- Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills. Experience working with the financial modules of Agresso;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team; and
- A ‘can-do’ approach with the ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
