Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst - TP Accounting position is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting of transportation revenue and costs, while developing a thorough understanding of the TP business and working closely with the Operations team to support financial accuracy and analysis.

Responsibilities

Daily Parking of AR and AP Invoices in SAP

Perform daily parking and review of AR and AP invoices in SAP for assigned sub-GL accounts Analyze parked invoices to validate accuracy, contract rates, and correct profitability segment assignment Submit accurately reviewed invoices to the Edoc portal for final manager approval Proactively coordinate with Operations to resolve invoice discrepancies or required corrections Reject erroneous invoices or transactions in the Edoc portal in accordance with established controls

Month-End Closing Tasks & Profitability Analysis

Reconcile assigned sub-GL accounts as part of the monthly close process Complete revenue and cost accruals for assigned GLs and customers in accordance with accounting standards Investigate unbilled revenue or costs and provide clear explanations for aging balances Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities in alignment with established deadlines Analyze and explain monthly financial results, including the impact of accruals and business changes on margins Prepare and complete profitability reports for assigned accounts

Collaborate in ITMS System Enhancement Project

Collaborate on ITMS system enhancement initiatives by participating in process reviews, testing, and implementation discussions Develop a working knowledge of the GLOVIS claims operation process and related accounting treatment Develop a working knowledge of the GLOVIS fuel surcharge (FSC) operational process and associated accounting procedures Provide accounting input during meetings, including analysis of profitability segment impacts Maintain regular communication with management and keep the manager informed on progress, issues, and status of all ITMS enhancement projects

Forecast Variance Analysis

Review the quarterly forecast prepared by FP&A for assigned accounts Perform variance analysis comparing current trends and actual results to forecast assumptions Analyze and clearly explain variances between actual results and forecasted performance

Portal Red Folder Review

Review all Red Folder requests, business proposals, and accounting entries submitted through the portal for assigned accounts Research requests and perform analysis to assess accounting accuracy, financial impact, and business rationale Provide clear summary comments and recommendations for management review prior to approval Approve Red Folder items in the portal upon completion of analysis and documentation review

Audit Support (CPA, Customer, and GKR)

Provide audit support for requests from external CPAs, customers, and GKR Investigate audit inquiries and gather, review, and provide supporting documentation and evidence as requested Justify company billing completion based on contractual terms to support revenue recognition and defend against potential revenue or profit impact resulting from changes Reassess and update financial statements, as required, in accordance with guidance from local CPAs and GKR
