We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our regional office in Los Angeles, CA or Long Beach, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely after the training period. This person will manage the reporting process for regional in-process developments, assist in the underwriting, financial analysis, and due diligence functions associated with the acquisition, development, and/or re-development of shopping centers to ensure that Regency is making well-informed investment decisions based on all relevant facts and circumstances, and provide credit analysis on potential tenants and vendors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Maintain financial models for in-process developments, aiding in forecasting, project management, and review, and associated monthly updates of MDM and DSR forecasting models. Underwrite prospective developments, acquisitions, and redevelopments. Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed. Assist in preparing memoranda on projects to be submitted for approval to Real Estate Committee, Investment Committee, or the Board of Directors. Assist with due diligence functions related to new investments, including developments, redevelopments, acquisitions, buyout of co-investment partnerships, et al. and dispositions. Preparation of quarterly asset review books for in-process developments and redevelopments. Performs financial and credit analysis on potential tenants and vendors. Prepare abstracts for anchor tenant leases, PSAs, and Joint Venture Agreements, and track significant contract dates and posts/tracks escrow deposits.

Are You Qualified?

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience

Prior commercial real estate experience strongly preferred

Strong quantitative and analytical skills Solid foundation in retail real estate fundamentals, including, but not limited to: Ability to understand and calculate standard return metrics such as yield, profit margin, IRR, etc. Ability to read and understand a lease Ability to understand shopping center operational metrics Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate level proficiency with PowerBI (or similar software) Experience with Argus Enterprise
