Senior Financial Analyst, Rapid & Rural Logistics Finance

If so, Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with a record of achieving results.The Rapid and Rural Logistics team covers a portfolio of high-growth businesses with unique fulfillment and operational capabilities such as Sub Same Day (SSD), SSD Direct, and Rural Super Rural (RSR) +. Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operations excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions, with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving long-term profitability for our portfolio of businesses. We experiment constantly, fail fast, and never stop learning.This role will support financial consolidation, analysis and month-end close (MEC) reporting of financial performance of the newly launched speed programs - Quick Commerce, Rush and Prime Air Drone.Key job responsibilities- Financial reporting and consolidation for SSD financial and operational performance- Manage database tools, reporting mechanisms financial systems and create insightful analysis to drive business improvement- Coordinate the overall close process partnering with various stakeholders across Finance, Accounting and Business Intelligence Engineering- Facilitate effective leadership reviews, manage communication with stakeholders and monitor closure of follow-up items- Creating financial models and plans, interpreting large data sets, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout the company- Building effective business partnerships and using active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner - Identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs through data and financial analysis inclusive of proactively resolving defects, benchmarking key performance indicators, and developing new metrics - Implementing solutions to simplify, improve, automate, standardize and scale processes - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
