Senior Financial Analyst, Project Kuiper Finance

Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, manufacturing and FP&A, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions, processes and controls.Amazon Leo (formerly Project Kuiper) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support the semiconductor business and inventory consignment initiative. This position will partner with business and finance leaders to design program strategy through thoughtful analysis, develop key financial processes, and support automation initiatives. The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to improve and create new measures for business effectiveness, innovate creative solutions utilizing large scale data mining tools, and identify high priority projects to maximize results for key stakeholders.Key job responsibilities• Create effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides investment guidance based on data analysis.• Identify opportunities to drive supply chain efficiencies, with a focus on generating inventory consignment expansion opportunities. • Present financial summaries and business insights to Senior Management (Business and Finance).• Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making.• Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses, develop business insights, and lead ad hoc analyses.• Participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities.- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- Can meet export control requirements by being a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis, or experience in accounts receivable or account payable- Experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits), or experience in multiple finance and accounting roles- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving, or experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders- 3+ years of cross functional project delivery experience, or a MBA and 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experienceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
