Job Function: Finance Job Sub Function: Finance Business Partners Job Category: Professional All Job Posting Locations: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium, Geel, Antwerp, Belgium Job Description: Senior Financial Analyst – Plant Controlling (Geel site) Possible Location: Geel, Belgium Contract: full time, permanent Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team at our Geel manufacturing site . This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted finance partner, translate complex operational data into actionable insights, and influence decisions that strengthen site performance. Geel is the Synthetics Manufacturing Launch & Grow Drug Substance site within Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, supporting the launch, scale-up, and reliable supply of innovative medicines. Reporting to the Plant Controller, you will partner with site leaders and cross-functional teams to drive financial planning, performance management, cost competitiveness, and disciplined investment decisions. You will combine strong analytical capability with business acumen, constructive challenge, and a continuous-improvement mindset. How YOU can help: The key responsibilities & the impact YOU will have: Serve as a trusted finance partner to the functional leaders, providing forward-looking analysis, clear insights, and constructive challenges to support strategic and operational decisions. Own financial performance management for assigned business areas, including operating expenses, absorption and headcount. Lead key planning and forecasting cycles, including the Annual Business Plan and quarterly updates, ensuring high-quality assumptions, robust risk and opportunity assessments, and timely submissions to Corporate Finance. Perform and coordinate quarterly close and management reporting activities with the Finance team, delivering accurate results, clear variance explanations, and actionable recommendations. Support investment and resource allocation decisions through financial modelling, scenario analysis and business cases. Support the annual standard cost process and provide insights into product cost, manufacturing variances, and cost improvement opportunities. Partner with cross-functional and global teams on strategic site initiatives, transformation programs, and productivity opportunities, taking ownership of finance workstreams where appropriate. Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation across finance processes and reporting, using digital and analytics tools to improve speed, quality, and decision support. Maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and internal and external audit expectations. Build strong working knowledge of SAP and related planning and reporting tools to provide timely ad hoc analysis and decision support. Ad hoc projects and enterprise initiatives include Credo action plans, AI acceleration, identifying and implementing finance process improvements consistent with Signifi initiatives and leading sector- level process improvements. IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU What you need to succeed in this role: A University degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting/Economics . 3 to 6 years of relevant finance experience in a complex, multinational environment; experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or pharmaceuticals is preferred . Strong financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and management reporting capabilities , with the ability to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes. Demonstrated business partnering skills , including the confidence to influence stakeholders , challenge assumptions and communicate recommendations clearly. Knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, internal controls and capital investment analysis are an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP platform. Experience with TM1, CFIN, Anaplan, and analytics or business-intelligence tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate & timely work. Proactive, curious and hands-on, with an improvement mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a concise, decision-oriented manner.
