Reporting to the Corporate Finance Lead, the Senior Financial Analyst regularly interacts with mid-to-senior level management to provide timely information and financial reports. This role plays a key part in consolidated reporting, financial analysis, and strategic support across the Moncton Group of Companies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver consolidated weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and analytical reports for the Moncton Group of Companies, providing timely insights to senior management.
- Support risk management activities through the maintenance and analysis of hedge documentation for foreign exchange and commodities.
- Assist in the preparation, analysis and review of quarterly Benchmark Files.
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze consolidated cash flow, capital expenditure reports, and month‑end balance sheet analysis to support financial oversight and decision‑making.
- Maintenance of the monthly and quarterly Financial Covenant Reports.
- Lead and support multiple concurrent projects by providing financial analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities, business improvements, and areas for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- CPA is required for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis is required.
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Experience in financial audits with strong knowledge of proper financial statement and note disclosure.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises.
- Experience with TM1 and Microsoft CoPilot is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to comfortably communicate at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment.
