DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will support quantitative and qualitative analysis of key operational aspects of the company in order to track progress toward goals and inform financial planning.
The ideal candidate possesses a mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, as the role involves detailed financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and communication with multiple stakeholders.
This role serves as a senior contributor to the company’s financial strategy, independently driving financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities and providing forward-looking insights that inform key business decisions.
Candidates may be located in Hamilton, Washington, or work remotely if they reside within the Pacific Northwest.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Independently develop comprehensive documentation and narratives for financial presentations, standard monthly and quarterly close reports, and annual budgeting documents, delivering strategic clarity and actionable insights for key stakeholders
- Financial Planning: Take ownership of assigned areas within the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with Janicki’s overall business objectives and proactively surfacing risks and opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather operational insights and integrate them into financial planning, serving as a trusted analytical resource across business units
- Tool Optimization and Reporting Enhancements: Identify and drive continuous improvement in FP&A reporting and planning tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization and enhance decision-making capabilities
- Forecasting and Model Maintenance: Own the development and maintenance of financial forecast models, budget models, and databases, ensuring integrity and scalability across the planning cycle
- Ensure rigorous analysis and accuracy in financial projections on a project-by-project basis
- Comprehensive Financial Reporting: Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on financial performance, including budget variance analysis, scenario analysis, stress testing, and KPI results
- Develop executive-level presentations that distill financial models into concise, data-driven narratives, enabling informed strategic decision-making.
- Effectively communicate findings to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Strategic Project Support: Collaborate on high-impact projects
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support critical business decisions
- KPI Development and Reporting: Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational success
QUALIFICATIONS
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field required
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis required
- Strong analytical skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and problem solving
- Strong business acumen with knowledge of the industry and strategic thinking
- Strong technical skills accounting and finance knowledge, software proficiency, and forecasting tools
- Demonstrated project management skills which include time management, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills across all areas of the organization
- 2+ years in a manufacturing business preferred
- Previous experience with SAP preferred
DETAILED WAGE INFORMATION
- Wage range for this role is between $90,000 - $130,000 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
