Responsible for creating and presenting various analyses and presentations used in the evaluation of the Company’s performance, as well as other various financial planning and analysis tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compile, analyze and report financial data, including periodic (e.g., monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results) and other ad-hoc projects
Independently develop and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company results, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives
Manage corporate and departmental budgeting, forecasting, and review
Effectively communicate financial matters to and build relationships with operating divisions and other parts of the business
Evaluate capital project economics and potential mergers and acquisitions
Prepare presentations and analyses for meetings with senior executives
Create and present analyses for finance and strategic initiatives, including but not limited to model building, managing data rooms, and financial analysis
Develop internal and external analyses, corporate presentations, press releases and other communications for investors, board of directors, and other users
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators (KPI) (e.g., revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and operational metrics)
Evaluate Company's financial performance compared to competitors, overall industry, and market trends
Use financial reporting and general ledger systems to support internal and external needs for reports and other information
Performs other related duties as required
Educational and Other Requirements
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience (Accounting or Finance preferred)
3-5 years of experience in similar or equivalent roll
Previous experience in a similar role or financial services role
Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions
Proficiency with MS Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience in creating three statement financial models
Ability to shift priorities and multi-task while meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently and as a member of team
Ability and willingness to travel is desired
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn diverse skills in a corporate environment
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
Ability to work diligently with little oversight
Ability to recognize sensitive, confidential, or material non-public information and maintain the confidentiality of such information
Mental and Physical Requirements:
Able to read, speak and write English.
Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.
Sitting – at desk or computer station, standing, walking, speaking, hearing – frequent.
Bending/Stooping, twisting, lifting – occasional.
Must be able to lift 30lbs.
Gripping, reaching, writing, fingering (data entry), handling (paper, files, etc.) – frequent.
Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
Fine Motor Skills - typing, 10-key, ability to write for extended periods of time.
Communication - phone communication, communication with personnel and vendors.
Seeing - able to see the computer screen.
Climbing - able to go up and down stairs.
Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week unless otherwise directed by supervisor.
