Job Summary
Church & Dwight is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / FP&A Analyst to support both accounting operations and financial planning & analysis functions.
About the Role
This hybrid role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and delivering financial insights through budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with strategic financial analysis capabilities and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions.
Work Environment
Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Miami, FL and requires in- person attendance on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with remote work options on Wednesday and Friday.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting
Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Analyze account activity and resolve discrepancies
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accrual processes as needed
Analyze variances between actual results, budget, and prior periods
Maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives
Conduct profitability, margin, and cost analysis
Assist with scenario planning and ad hoc business analysis projects
Skills and Competencies
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint), financials systems (Oracle, SAP) preferred
Ability to work with complex concepts, analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations while using judgment, experience and increasing industry knowledge
Ability to work with Executive level business partners with clarity and accountability
High level of independence and ability to make impactful decisions with little to no supervision
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting or related field; MBA is a plus
4 to 7 years minimum of finance experience, preferably in CPG company
