Senior Financial Analyst, Alexa Devices Finance

Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join the Alexa Home Devices Finance team. The SFA will be a key member of the Alexa team, providing finance support to business partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage for one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon.The right candidate have be self-motivated, have strong business judgment and considerable financial acumen. This role requires the ability to interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, sales & marketing, engineering and finance teams. The candidate must be able to balance challenging priorities, meet tight deadlines and provide insights & recommendations backed by data driven analysis. Key job responsibilitiesKey Job Responsibilities:- Own financial reporting across Alexa Home - Drive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, perform month end close related activities, including variance commentary, R&O updates, weekly reporting, etc- Provide strong controllership environment and improve controls over operational and financial metrics- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experienceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
