Amazon seeks an Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Alexa 1P and Alexa Home finance team. This role will be responsible for driving broad insights that can shape the Alexa financial outlooks to inform short and long term investment decisions. The successful candidate will build scalable analyses, key performance indicators and insights. These insights will be use to drive cost discipline and P&L management.This position will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization (e.g. Devices and Services FP&A and cross-organizational business and finance teams). This role requires someone to be analytical, creative, detail oriented and eager to continuously learn.- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of Tableau- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
