Our client is a well-established global aviation aftermarket and aircraft parts distribution company headquartered in South Florida. The company supports airlines and aviation customers with inventory solutions across a highly regulated international supply chain.
This is a fast-paced environment where accuracy, traceability, export compliance, quality documentation, and timely order fulfillment are critical. As the company continues to grow its global customer base and digital sales capabilities, it is seeking a senior compliance leader who can strengthen export controls, support scalable operations, and protect the business from regulatory, financial, and reputational risk.
The Senior Export Compliance Manager will lead and strengthen the company’s global export compliance program across aviation aftermarket operations, aircraft parts distribution, inventory, logistics, online marketplace activity, and international customer transactions. This is a hands-on leadership role for a compliance professional who can operate strategically while also making real-time, risk-based decisions.
Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with U.S. export control and sanctions regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, restricted party requirements, licensing obligations, end-use and end-user controls, and anti-diversion expectations.

- Manage export licensing strategy, including license determinations, applications, authorizations, provisos, conditions, recordkeeping, and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Review and assess high-risk orders, customers, destinations, end uses, end users, technical data, aircraft part classifications, restricted party screening results, and red flags.
- Make independent compliance decisions regarding transaction approvals, holds, denials, license escalation, voluntary disclosures, and corrective actions.
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Quality, Operations, Logistics, IT, Finance, and executive leadership to embed export compliance into daily workflows, ERP processes, order review, marketplace activity, customer onboarding, vendor management, and shipping processes.
- Support export classification activity for aerospace products, aircraft parts, technical data, and related documentation.
- Lead or support internal audits, investigations, root cause analysis, regulatory inquiries, voluntary disclosures, and corrective action plans.
- Monitor regulatory changes, enforcement trends, sanctions developments, geopolitical risks, and aviation trade compliance issues that may affect the business.
- Develop and deliver targeted export compliance training for employees involved in sales, purchasing, logistics, quality, customer service, IT, and operations.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation, audit trails, licensing files, transaction review notes, and decision-support materials.
- Evaluate and improve compliance tools, screening systems, ERP controls, workflow automation, and reporting processes to support consistent and scalable compliance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by clearly explaining complex export control, sanctions, licensing, and business risk issues in practical terms.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Experience reviewing aerospace, aviation, aircraft parts, MRO, OEM, distribution, or technical product information for export control relevance.
- Experience supporting global operations, international customers, international shipments, or cross-border sales activity.
