About the Role
The Senior Director of Finance is a senior financial leader responsible for all financial reporting, planning, analysis, and cost management functions while partnering closely with Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain and Engineering leadership to optimize performance and support growth across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a decisive, data‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and knows how to translate financial insights into operational action.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Ensure accuracy, compliance with GAAP and Corporate policies and timeliness of all financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
- Implement robust internal controls and governance across all manufacturing sites.
- Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with corporate goals, manufacturing capacity, and long‑term growth plans.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on financial performance, commercial negotiations, capital allocation, and risk management.
- Lead financial modeling for major capital initiatives and M&A opportunities.
Costing & Operational Finance
- Lead plant controllers to ensure effective cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and margin optimization.
- Monitor inventory valuation, working capital, and supply chain cost drivers.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to align financial plans with production realities.
- Support pricing strategy, customer profitability analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Provide financial leadership for ERP enhancements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance organization across multiple sites.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within manufacturing.
- Deep expertise in GAAP cost accounting, plant finance, and manufacturing operations.
- Proven success leading financial strategy in multi-site or complex production environments.
- Strong command of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
