About the Role

Atira Hospitality is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead financial operations across a growing multi-entity platform, including Atira Hospitality. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, strong cash management, and disciplined processes across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a hybrid accounting structure that includes outsourced bookkeeping and remote staff accountants. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and capable of building structure, driving accountability, and supporting growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Reporting

- Review, validate, and finalize monthly financial statements across all entities
 - Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper accruals in all financial reporting
 - Oversee outputs from Inn-Flow and internal accounting resources

Cash Management & Banking

- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and funding across all entities
 - Oversee and approve wires, ACH payments, and intercompany transfers
 - Ensure all payroll, vendor, and operational obligations are funded on time

Accounts Payable & Controls

- Oversee AP processes, approvals, and payment prioritization
 - Establish and enforce internal controls for all disbursements
 - Ensure accuracy and discipline in vendor payments

Multi-Entity Accounting

- Oversee accounting for Atira Hospitality, PCA, and PLA(PCA and PLA requires minimal attention)
 - Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliations
 - Maintain and evolve Chart of Accounts to support growth

Team Leadership

- Lead and manage remote bookkeepers and outsourced accounting partners
 - Establish clear workflows, accountability, and performance expectations
 - Ensure timely and accurate execution across all accounting functions

Process Improvement & Scalability

- Build and improve accounting processes, workflows, and controls
 - Support onboarding of new properties and business growth
 - Strengthen financial infrastructure to support a scalable platform

Operational & Strategic Support

- Oversee property-level financial flows (funding, insurance, loans, etc.)
 - Provide leadership with financial insights, risks, and recommendations
 - Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency

What Success Looks Like

- Financials are accurate, reconciled, and delivered on time
 - Cash flow is proactively managed with no funding gaps
 - Strong processes and controls are in place across all entities
 - Accounting operations scale seamlessly with business growth
 - Leadership receives clear, actionable financial insights

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
 - 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity oversight
 - Hospitality, property management, or multi-unit experience strongly preferred
 - Strong experience with financial systems
 - Experience managing remote teams and/or outsourced accounting partners
 - Strong understanding of cash management, AP controls, and financial reporting
