Financial Services Senior Credit Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of applicant requests for a line of credit. The Senior Credit Analyst will assess collateral values, credit risk, and prepare and deliver written credit approval or denial correspondence. The Senior Credit Analyst will develop models of credit information to predict patterns and trends using our ERP system (SAP), credit scoring model, business object reporting and Excel. The Sr. Credit Analyst will manage and maintain third party collections process, bankruptcy process, and escheat process in conjunction with the Financial Services Director, Financial Services Collection Manager, and the Finance team. The Senior Credit Analyst will train new credit team members, perform systemic customer master updates on new and existing accounts and maintain credit data integrity. The Senior Credit Analysts regularly interacts with FFF Enterprises’ Financial Services, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, and Customer Service teams along with our customers, while providing WOW Customer Service.

Essential Functions and Duties

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or a related field of study.

Required Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of credit and collection principles such as credit exposure, risk monitoring, bankruptcy laws, corporate credit applications, and analysis dealing with a tangible product (vs. a financial product). GAAP and applied accounting principles in the interpretation of customer financial statements with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must have knowledge of accounting principles used in the interpretation of customer financial statements. Must have working knowledge and be familiar with various forms of Bankruptcy including record keeping.

Required Experience: Must have seven (7) or more years of Credit and Collections experience, including analysis of customers’ financial condition along with their D&B Report and the authorization of customer credit limits for a tangible product. Must have five (5) or more years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office (advanced level), SAP, D&B, Internet and related computer skills. Must have experience and working knowledge dealing with 3rd party collection agencies.

Preferred Experience: Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Required Skills: Must have strong organizational skills. Must have a detail orientation and the proven ability to prioritize work. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team. Sound decision-making abilities. Proven advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, SAP, D&B, Internet and related computer skills. Ability to analyze a Dun and Bradstreet report required in determining a customer’s financial condition. Ability to effectively secure prompt payment from customers, while employing commercial sensitivity, business acumen, and good judgment.

Physical requirements

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Working condition include normal office setting.

Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
