Summary: The Sr. Compensation Analyst is a trusted compensation advisor to leaders, Talent Acquisition Partners and HR Business Partners, helping them make informed and competitive pay decisions. Working with a high degree of autonomy, this individual will manage and continuously improve programs and processes across the Compensation function. They will build and maintain global programs and systems, career paths, workforce planning and budgeting.
Essential Functions:
- Program manager for multiple Merit, Bonus and promotional cycles during the year, including systems configuration, testing, loading budgets, reporting, employee and manager communications, HRIS updates and Executive Level approval. Coordinates with global locations in Asia and Europe and leads off-cycle compensation planning processes.
- Support incentive programs, including the Sales Incentive Plan, Management Incentive Plan, discretionary bonus pools and other bonus plans. This includes tracking employee eligibility, ensuring accurate HRIS reporting, calculating budgets, providing accruals to the Finance Department, calculating bonuses, preparing communication plans for managers and employees, and making sure that payments are made accurately and on time.
- Levels and Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
- Interviews employees and managers to gather and document job content, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required.
- Create sand send Sales Incentive Plan quota and payout letters semi-annually and as needed for new hires and promotions. Answer manager and employee questions and update plan communications.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of global job architecture and compensation structures. Writes and updates job descriptions, evaluates jobs, and determines classification.
- Provides internal support to HRBPs by supplying appropriate guidance for new positions, new hires, promotions, etc.
- Updates system tools used for compensation administration, budget and workforce planning. Responsible for the ongoing accuracy and completeness of all job, compensation data in Comp Analyst and Dayforce HCM.
- Prepares salary survey submissions, market assessments and associated analysis.
- Conducts studies for specific functional areas; analyzes market trends; completes statistical reports and assists in the development of recommendations and action plans designed to attract, retain, and reward employees.
- Develops and delivers compensation training materials, templates and communications to educate a variety of audiences on compensation-related topics.
- Monitors and audits pay practices to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and wage and hour laws.
- Conducts FLSA Assessments.
- Maintains knowledge of current compensation legislation.
- Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.
Additional Responsibilities:

- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $120,000 to $140,000.

Minimum RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Compensation experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field. (May substitute additional experience for degree.)
Preferred Education & Experiences:
- CPP or SHRM-CP certification
- Global compensation experience in Asia and Europe
- Experience with non-qualified deferred compensation plans
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA):
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of HRIS applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize assignments
- Knowledge of payroll, benefits and human resource practices.
Work Environment:
This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
Work Ability Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
