As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will center on providing audit services to our insurance and pension clients that encompass both a mix of local and international clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for improvement in financial processes. Developing the service plan for the client, together with the Partners and Managers; identifying problem areas and risks and providing concrete recommendations; taking responsibility for the input needed for internal and external reporting; acting as the go-to person for less experienced colleagues in your audit team, assisting them to perform at their best; continuously developing your skills. Your Responsibilities

• Providing audit services to insurance and pension clients (local and international).
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes.
• Developing service plans with Partners and Managers.
• Identifying problem areas and risks, providing recommendations.
• Taking responsibility for input for internal and external reporting.
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues in the audit team.
• Continuously developing your skills (e.g., through the Audit Bright Development program).
• Utilizing the international Deloitte network for ambitions and learning.
• Acting as an indispensable first point of contact within the Audit Team.
• Serving various clients with your expertise.
• Checking complex entries in financial statements.
• Helping to determine the audit strategy.

Qualifications

• Completed master's degree.
• Completed or currently pursuing a certification as a Chartered Accountant (RA), CPA, or ACCA.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant.
• Familiarity with insurance and pension industry regulations and practices.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing.

As an accountant in our Amsterdam office, you will work with FSI clients (banks, insurance companies, pension funds, fintech, real estate, investment management) – companies active in the financial sector where you can make a difference.
