Position Summary
Red Monkey Foods is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of our growing manufacturing business. This role serves as the Controller's primary partner in managing manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory valuation, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing accounting activities including standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, yield, and overhead absorption.
- Oversee inventory accounting, physical inventories, and cycle count programs.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities related to manufacturing operations.
- Prepare financial analyses, forecasts, budgets, and operational reporting.
- Support ERP implementation, optimization, and data integrity initiatives.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audits.
- Partner with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to drive business performance.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with inventory management, BOM analysis, and variance reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, and/or MBA.
- CPG, food manufacturing, ingredient manufacturing, or related industry experience.
- ERP implementation experience, preferably NetSuite.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Primarily office-based with routine visits to the manufacturing floor.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
