Role Overview
We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-driven accounting professional with experience in revenue operations, billing systems, and month-end close. This role partners closely with the Senior Director of Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, ASC 606 compliance, and smooth cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable owning processes end-to-end, and brings a proactive mindset to improving financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare contract entries in Maxio to ensure proper revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 standards.
- Assist the Senior Director of Finance with ASC 606 SSP research and internal cost calculations.
- Oversee billing and collections processes within Maxio, ensuring accuracy and timely receipt of payments.
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and provide commentary on variance and flux analysis.
- Establish, document, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
- Support sales tax activities by monitoring physical and economic nexus across all applicable states and filing monthly sales tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and update revenue forecasts throughout the year to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation for the annual audit, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and audit ready.
- Handle client billables and support ongoing client billing operations.
- Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to promote alignment across departments on financial matters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Senior-Level Accountant or equivalent, plus 2+ years of experience within a SaaS environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong working knowledge of Excel formulas
- Proficient in QuickBooks; experience with Maxio is a plus
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $105K-$125K. We expect the ideal candidate to fall near the midpoint of this range, though final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and organizational needs. Final compensation will also include a variable component and stock options.
