Cherry Bekaert Staffing & Recruiting is partnered with a rapidly growing government contractor seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join its Dallas-based team. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with government contracting regulations and supporting continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, PR, Billing, AR, and cash management
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and payments
- Maintain audit-ready workpapers and support internal and external audits
- Assist in leveraging ERP systems and support automation and process improvements
- Collaborate regarding SOX compliance to ensure internal controls operating effectively
Qualifications
- Experience working in a government contractor with at least $50M in revenue
- U.S. Citizenship required, CPA preferred, and Big 4 or national public accounting firm preferred
- Bachelor’s in accounting or finance with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with EAC forecasting and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks required
- Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred
