Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Accounting drives the improvement of financial performance and accounting operations by providing leadership over the technical accounting and SOX areas. This position is also heavily involved with our external reporting. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while driving finance transformation initiatives that enhance scalability, efficiency, and control. This role will serve as a strategic advisor to the Assistant Controller and Chief Accounting Officer and a primary contact for finance leadership, business units, and many other stakeholders in our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Accounting & Policy Governance & Financial Reporting Leader
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert on all complex accounting issues on areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, annual goodwill analysis, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, equity compensation and others.
- Review significant transactions and contracts for appropriate accounting treatment.
- Oversee development, maintenance, and enforcement of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership through strong communication and judgment.
- Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors for close, consolidation, and technical accounting matters.
SOX, Process Improvement & Finance Transformation Leader
- Lead the scoping, coordination, evaluation and development of internal controls for the Company including the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program.
- Act as a trusted advisor with management by providing training, coaching, and guidance relative to controls and governance
- Heavily involved with finance transformation initiatives within the close, consolidation, and corporate accounting processes.
- Champion continuous improvement, data quality, and scalable processes to support business growth.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting and 5 years of accounting experience and 3 years of Management experience.
GAAP Knowledge
Internal Controls and SOX experience
M&A experience
Strong communicator, including written and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience: 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and large, complex corporate environments 3 years of Management experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and to collaborate in a matrixed organization cross functionally to drive outcomes
Thrive in a fast paced and growth-oriented organization
Sound analytical and critical thinking skills with a strategic mindset
Strong relationship building skills and capability to build a support network
Additional Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $135,000.00 - $170,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.Benefits
