Job Summary
The Accounting Analyst maintains financial records, reconciles accounts, and assists with month-end closing, reporting, and audits. This role supports the CFO & Controller by analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and preparing analysis, journal entries, and reports. Key duties include utilizing ERP software, managing spreadsheets, and ensuring cutoff, completeness, and accuracy of the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Account Maintenance: Setting up new general ledger accounts, managing the general ledger, journal entries, and maintaining complete and accurate financial records.
- Transactions & Reporting: Recording daily transactions, processing accounts payable/receivable, and posting journal entries.
- Financial Closing: Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
- Account Reconciliation: Preparation of monthly account analysis and reconciliation.
- Data Analysis: Monthly analysis of variances to budget and prior year for revenue, expense, and cost center details for management review.
- Compliance & Audit: Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with tax laws and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identifying process weaknesses and recommending solutions to improve operational efficiency or transparency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software/ERP systems Business Central or comparable ERP experience.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong attention to detail to identify financial discrepancies.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for collaborating with other departments.
- Positive attitude to embrace team collaboration and process improvements.
