Join the Finance team at this exciting time - we have a Temporary Senior Accounting Analyst opportunity available.

What You Will Do

As the Senior Accounting Analyst, you will use your financial acumen and knowledge of financial accounting policies and controls and act as a lead for financial reporting on capital projects.  This position plays an essential role in reviewing and approving project accounting & reporting, monitoring and analyzing financial transactions, and performing period-end and year-end financial reporting process.

In addition, you will ensure capital project costs are complete and appropriately charged to the relevant projects and accounts and maintain the TTC’s record of subsidized and non-subsidized capital assets, including its capital asset creation, depreciation and disposal. This involves processing indirect & overhead cost allocations to applicable capital projects across the organization. 

You will also support the year-end process by performing various year-end requirements including reviewing and ensuring completeness of accruals, account reconciliations, analysis for year-end true-up, and coordination of audit requirements.

You will ensure that transactions related to capital projects and budgets comply with TTC policies, procedures, current account standards, and guidance issued by the Public Sector Accounting Board such as Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) standard (PS3280).
