Purpose of Role
Records financial transactions, following the accounting rules and internal control guidelines, and present them in a form that informs business decisions.
Key Accountabilities Include
- Ensure application of company policies and accounting guidelines.
- Support timely resolution of issues.
- Support accurate and timely processing of subledger and GL recordings.
- Support awareness and adherence to internal controls.
- Ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial reports.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Participate in month end close activities; prepare journal entries and enter journal entries for posting such as fixed asset, sales/marketing programs and warranty cost analysis
- Create master data records and maintain subledger entries
- Advise internal departments.
- Provide information and answers to financial and JSOX auditors.
- Prepare the parents company reporting package.
- GL accounts reconciliation and analysis; including fluctuation analysis.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures for responsible tasks.

- General Ledger: Maintain the primary accounting record and understand trends and relationships between data points.
- Internal Controls Over Financial Statement: Document internal controls/process flows and establish internal controls in compliance with JSOX.
- Reconciliations: Ensure that two sets of accounting records are in agreement.
- Reporting: Generate appropriate reports to meet information requests and/or needs.

Qualifications
Ideal
- Advanced Excel experience; including manipulating large datasets, creating complex formulas, and generating reports
- Demonstrated success applying GAAP (IFRS) to financial reporting
- Experience with ERP
- Progressive experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate environment
- Progressive experience with account reconciliation/intercompany reconciliations and reserve balance analysis
- Experience with reporting systems
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Knowledge of Oracle
- 5+ years related experience in general ledger accounting in corporate environment
Compensation
- The hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually + bonus. This is the hiring range and does not include the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time.
- Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
