Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee various accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial standards, and support the company’s financial health through accurate reporting and analysis. Responsibilities
- Full-cycle accounting
- Process daily data entry of AR/AP invoicing.
- Monitors, reviews, verifies & audits accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation.
- Assists CFO/Controller and GM with annual development of financial projections and forecasts.
- Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.
- Sending invoices to customers to request payment for services or goods provided
- Monitor and perform collections of current and past due A/R
- Conduct month end close with GL adjustments & account reconciliation.
- Compiles data & uploads monthly financials for Controller & CFO review.
- Manage, reconcile & audit quarterly/annual payroll reports (940, 941 & RT-6).
- Recommending accounting policies and ways to improve the accounting system
- Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
- Prepare documentation for External Auditors.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
- Manage job costing, contract accounting, and inventory/WIP processes to ensure accurate cost capture and job-level profitability

Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of related experience.
- Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Quantum Control Aviation software experience (preferred)
- BA/BS in Accounting and/or Finance. (preferred)
- Knowledge of Aviation/Aerospace industry (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
