Senior Accountant
Setting/Hours: 100% in Office| Full-time
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations and continued growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and lender requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate general ledger records.

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.

Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and adjusting entries.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and financial support.

Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation records, and amortization entries.

Support tax preparation and compliance activities.

Prepare quarterly debt compliance analyses and lender reporting requirements.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and leverage technology and AI tools within the accounting function.

Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives and financial reporting needs.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; experience in real estate, affordable housing, construction, property management, or related industries is preferred.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.

Experience with accounting software platforms; Rent Manager® and Avid experience are highly preferred.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Demonstrated ability to leverage technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive base salary of $100,000 – $120,000, depending on experience.
