Start Your Next Career Chapter in a Growing Local CPA Firm
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who wants more ownership, more variety, and direct exposure to clients, not just another accounting role.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing the full cycle of accounting work, supporting tax preparation, and working closely with clients to keep their financials accurate, organized, and on track.
You’ll work directly with the owner in a small, growing firm where your work matters every day, and where strong performance is recognized and trusted.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a high-ownership role where you’ll take responsibility for client accounts from start to finish:
- Manage bookkeeping and reconciliations across multiple client accounts
- Prepare monthly financials and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support and execute tax preparation for individuals and small businesses
- Identify and resolve discrepancies before they become problems
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer questions
- Help keep workflows organized and moving, especially during tax season
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you will:
- Take full ownership of assigned client accounts with minimal oversight
- Deliver accurate, on-time financials and tax support with very low error rates
- Become a reliable point of contact for clients
- Help reduce bottlenecks and improve overall workflow efficiency
What We’re Looking For
We’re targeting someone who is:
- Strong in bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
- Experienced with tax preparation or multiple tax seasons
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues
- Able to communicate clearly with both internal team members and clients
- Experience completing multiple tax seasons and preparing individual and business tax returns is strongly preferred.
- Candidates currently pursuing a CPA license or holding an EA credential are encouraged to apply.
Experience with tools like QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting systems) is expected.
Why This Role Stands Out
- More ownership: You’ll manage real work, not just pieces of it
- Direct client exposure: Build relationships and see the impact of your work
- Growth opportunity: Expand your skills across accounting and tax
- Flexible environment: Hybrid setup with a practical, no-nonsense team
Compensation
$75,000 – $90,000+ base salary + performance bonus
Final compensation depends on experience, especially with tax preparation and client-facing responsibilities.
