THE ROLE

We are currently partnering with a well-established and highly respected organization in the agriculture and manufacturing sector to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team in Langley, BC. This is an excellent Senior Accountant opportunity for an experienced accounting professional seeking a stable, long-term career opportunity within a collaborative and supportive environment.

This is a hands-on Senior Accountant position focused on overseeing the full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while supporting broader accounting operations and month-end activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, improving processes, and supporting the ongoing success of the accounting team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely and accurate payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and cash applications
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue accounts
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Support financial audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members as needed

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong exposure to both AP and AR
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in process improvements or system implementations is considered an asset
• Leadership or mentoring experience is considered an asset
