ADVERTISING TITLE: SENIOR PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANT

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office (Southwood) in the Finance and Accounting Department.

The purpose of the Senior Professional Accountant is to ensure compliance with fiscal standards and departmental procedures by accurately processing, auditing, and reconciling payments and accounting records, while providing timely support and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

This position is telework eligible.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT

The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
