SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS
|
|
Under the general direction of the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The Senior Accountant will also provide support with the accounting and processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, commissions, sales and other taxes, cash and treasury functions, reporting, financial analysis, and other accounting and financial duties as may be assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
|
- Maintain financial records to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded
- Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
- Performs monthly financial close activities including account reconciliations, monthly accruals, and trend analysis
- Prepares complex balance sheets, profile and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and corporate obligations
- Guide lower-level accountants
- Support for AR, AP, payroll, taxes, cash, and treasury as may be assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Education, Certifications, Skills
|
- BS/BBA in Accounting or Finance required
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a corporate accountant role
- Strong GAAP accounting knowledge required
- Understanding of state and local tax regulations highly desired
- Competence in financial and bookkeeping software required
- Understanding of current accounting trends is highly desirable
- Familiarity with finance regulations a plus.
