We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Financial Accounting team during an exciting period of transformation and growth. Reporting to the Director of Financial Accounting, this role is responsible for the accurate accounting of revenue, accounts receivable, rebates, deferred revenue, and the allowance for doubtful accounts (AFDA). You will act as a subject matter expert within the team, contributing to the integrity of the balance sheet and income statement, the quality of monthly close processes, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (ASPE).
You will be part of a Financial Accounting team undergoing significant transformation, focused on rigor, integrity, and operational excellence. You will have the opportunity to play a central role in strengthening accounting practices, particularly in the context of a SAP migration and the adoption of advanced reporting tools. Your work will directly enhance balance sheet integrity and the quality of financial close processes in a fast-growing organization where your accounting expertise will have a tangible and measurable impact.

What you will accomplish with us:

Revenue & Accounts Receivable
Record revenue in accordance with ASPE standards, and manage AR reconciliations and allowance for doubtful accounts (AFDA).
Monitor deferred revenue and prepare monthly journal entries.
Discounts & Promotions
Record and track customer rebates.
Analyze variances and reconcile rebate liabilities.
Month-End Close
Participate in month-end close (revenue, AR, rebates, provisions – D+5).
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and follow up on discrepancies.
Identify and escalate accounting risks.
Controls & Compliance
Maintain accounting policies and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Support internal and external audits.
Collaboration & Projects
Work closely with FP&A, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Participate in ERP and process improvement initiatives.

What You Bring to Our Team:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance + CPA designation.
7 to 12 years of financial accounting experience (revenue, AR, provisions).
ERP experience (SAP is an asset).
Strong knowledge of ASPE standards and Excel.
Strong analytical skills, rigor, and autonomy.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage priorities.
Bilingualism (French/English) – required to interact on a regular basis with internal and/or external Master Group stakeholders across the country. Following an assessment, it has been determined that no other solution allows these professional requirements to be fulfilled.
Compensation Information:
Base Salary: $110,000$130,000 annually
Additional Compensation: Annual bonus
The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in accordance with applicable legislation.
