As we continue to expand, we're looking for a Senior Accountant-Cost & Operations focused, who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in helping shape the future of our business.
This position goes beyond traditional accounting. You'll partner closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Fleet teams to ensure accurate financial reporting while providing valuable insights into inventory, equipment costs, profitability, and operational performance.

What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

Analyze financial results and investigate key variances
-
Assist with internal and external financial reporting

Support audit requests and maintain organized documentation
Inventory & Cost Accounting
-
Support inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation activities
-
Maintain cost structures for manufactured, assembled, refurbished, and rental-ready equipment

Analyze inventory transactions, adjustments, reserves, and obsolescence
-
Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count programs
-
Analyze purchase price, labor, and overhead variances
-
Partner with Operations to improve inventory accuracy and cost visibility
Operational Finance & Business Partnership

Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Fleet teams to understand cost drivers
-
Perform profitability and margin analysis by equipment category, branch, or project
-
Translate financial data into actionable operational insights
-
Support pricing strategies, cost control initiatives, and capital investment decisions
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting

Analyze actual results versus budget and prior periods
-
Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
Process Improvement & Systems

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency

Support ERP system enhancements and data integrity initiatives

Develop reporting tools and dashboards using Excel and financial systems

Help build scalable accounting processes as the company continues to grow
Compliance & Internal Controls

Maintain strong internal controls across accounting processes

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
-
Support internal and external audits
What We're Looking For
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-
CPA preferred but not required
Experience
-
3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
-
Experience in an operational, asset-intensive, or inventory-based business preferred, including:

Equipment Rental

Manufacturing

Industrial Services

Distribution

Logistics

Inventory and cost accounting experience strongly preferred

Experience working within ERP systems
Technical Skills

Strong understanding of GAAP

Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis

Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful trends

Background in equipment rental, construction, manufacturing, industrial services, or distribution
