Job Description
- Actively participate in day-to-day accounting and finance reporting activities, including payroll entries, AP bill entry, routine journal entries, daily bank entries, researching and resolving accounting discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Prepare and post monthly financial and statistical revenue entries.
- Support and backup the AP process including auditing bills, routing bills for administrative approval, accounts payable entry, and follow up communication with service providers.
- Support external financial statement audits, 401(k) plan audits, Medicare cost reports, revenue cycle reporting, and other financial reporting.
- Help implement processes which ensure all accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting is accurate, timely, and well documented.
- Work with Sage Intacct general ledger and Bill.com accounts payable software.
- Assist the VP of Finance in ensuring and documenting that adequate financial and accounting internal controls are in place.
- Prepare financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
- Help establish and implement accounting and finance policies and operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and all local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns.
- Monitor and analyze expenses and budget variances to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring annual financial statements are GAAP compliant.
- Ensure accounting processes and procedures are HIPPA compliant.
- Work with clinical and administrative operations leadership to build trust and ensure an understanding of their role in Paradigm Health’s accounting and finance processes and procedures. Establish open communication to identify areas needing process improvement and implement any require changes quickly and efficiently.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a successful accountant within a business environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar.
- Must have the leadership, oral and written communication skills needed to communicate effectively with auditors, government entities, insurance companies, patients, patient’s families, and staff throughout the organization.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Advanced Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Bill.com software preferred.
